HOUSSER, YVONNE MCKAGUE
(1898- ) She studied at, and became a teacher at the Ontario
College of Art. Afterward, she went to Paris to the Academie de
la Grande Chaumiere, the Academie Colarossi and the Academy
Ranson. In 1930, she went to Vienna to study child art under
Cizek and Dynamic Symmetry in Mexico under Emil Bistram. Also, at
Cape Cod, she studied under Hans Hofmann. O.S.A. in 1927 and
R.C.A. in 1951. She was a founding member (1933) of the Canadian
Group of Painters. Her work is in most Canadian galleries.
