STEVENS, DOROTHY (AUSTIN) (1888-1966) Dorothy Stevens
studied at the Slade School, London with Henry Tonks and P.
Wilson Steer; also at the Colarossi and Grand Chaumier Academies.
She travelled to Europe on an R.C.A. scholarship. Also, she
taught children's classes at the Women's Art Association and
painting at the Ontario College of Art. R.C.A. in 1949, she is
represented in the National Gallery and the War Museum. This
particular piece was deaccessioned from the War Museum, and is an
etching of the "Walrus" flying boat used in the two
world wars.
