VERNER, FREDERICK ARTHUR (1836-1928) Verner painted in
Canada 1862-1880, primarily in Toronto and the North West, where
he studied buffalo and Indian life. His favourite medium appears
to have been watercolour. He was O.S.A. in 1872 and A.R.C.A. in
1893. His work is found around the world, especially in England,
where he died, and Canada. National Gallery, A.G.O., Hart House,
McMicheal Gallery, are but a few of the locations of the works of
this sought after artist.
